This anthology of 24 mysteries offers a mix of settings, themes and characters, all of them linked to the solar eclipse. I enjoyed every minute of the book, and kept reading long after “lights out”.
Each story reveals what’s hidden in the dark, either darkness in the mind and heart or the simple darkening of the sky as the eclipse progresses. The authors explore myths and madness connected to the eclipse as it sweeps across the country. The Day of the Dark brings strange creatures and murderous intent out of the shadows - you never know if you’re reading a story told by a madman, a murderer or just some poor soul swept up into the craziness…
